Hi Dan,
My wife and I realy enjoyed your band at the Mississauga Convention hall. Being long time jazz fans (and obviously there aren't too many in the furniture industry) we felt very privilaged to have such a great band play while we danced.

Hey Dan, sorry for the late reply but I'm here now and finally got a chance to explore the site. Amazing stuff man, I'm loving what I'm hearing. So much content on the site, I've been here about 30 mins and still finding new things.

All the best for you and the crew in 2007

Give me a shout next time you are in the area.

Welcome to 2007!

On behalf of The Dan Bodanis Band, I would like to thank you for all of your support and encouragement! According to the company tracking all of our web stats, The Dan Bodanis Band website his had over 110,000 visits during 2006; up from 43,000 visits during 2005! That represents a “255.8 % increase” in traffic flow, all because of you! How cool is that?

Thanks to your visits and all of the great referrals to our site, The Dan Bodanis Band has definitely reached a much broader audience! As a result, we have booked a number of fantastic gigs because you took the time to check the band out through our website; via our mp3 and video clips!

There were several highlights for the band this year! So many in fact; I would be remiss if I didn’t at least mention a few of the exceptional performance opportunities we received; entirely due to our website.

The Oakville Jazz Festival is one of the best supporters of professional jazz in Canada! This past August was the second time we had the good fortune of performing at The Oakville Jazz Festival, and we could not have been treated better! The festival was packed; the audience was incredible; and the organizers, along with Norm Thornton and his incredible sound crew were right on top of making sure everything went perfectly! Thank you to Peter and his great organizational skills for putting together a world-class jazz festival!

Over the next while, we hope to be adding special DVD footage from the Oakville Jazz Festival. We custom-crafted and dedicated our performance to the music of the ever-inspirational Chick Corea, and the audience loved it!

The second of many great events that took place for The Dan Bodanis Band in 2006 was a wedding for Brian and Andrea Van Staalduinen on November 11th. This was the second wedding that we performed at for the Van Staalduinen family. The first incredibly successful wedding gig came through an email I received in 2004 from Paul Fowle of New Jersey, inquiring about our availability to perform at the reception for his marriage to Wendy Van Staalduinen in April of that year at the beautiful Kitling Ridge Winery, in Niagara on the Lake.

Both families were absolutely wonderful to work with and for! The Alan’s and the Van Staalduinen’s love jazz, and the best part came during the planning stages when the bride, Andrea Alan told me: “When I heard you play at Paul and Wendy’s wedding I said: “That’s the band I’m going to book to play at our wedding!” What a wonderful compliment! Special thanks go to Paul Fowle for finding our website on Google; booking us to play his wedding to Wendy; and for inviting Andrea Alan!

With all the jazz bands out there, we never lose sight of the fact that it is a deep privilege for us to perform at your wedding. To book The Dan Bodanis Band for your wedding is a special honor that we truly respect. From soft background music during dinner, to “dancing jazz,” or a full blown jazz concert, as part of your wedding reception entertainment; we love each and every opportunity to take part in your special day! The Dan Bodanis Band loves to play club dates, but if given the choice: Weddings, Corporate functions, and especially Jazz Festivals, in that order, would be our “gigs of choice!”

We performed at several corporate functions, and the one that truly stands out as exceptional was the engagement for Concord Developments. Susanna Shum and her team from Concord put on an amazing display of their downtown Toronto condo projects and the audience could not have been happier!

Please check The Dan Bodanis Band website frequently this year. We plan on adding a number of new video, mp3, photo, and written word segments form various gigs and for the drummers checking out the site, there will be a number of transcriptions to check out! Additionally, we promise to expand the already vast “links pages” to include a number of other jazz artists, bands, and websites for you to checkout.

In addition to supporting The Dan Bodanis Band by checking back frequently, we hope that you will use our website as a source link to the vast jazz community that exists in North America and beyond! Please make us your “referral site of choice” when telling your friends about jazz band websites they have to check out!

We wish you all the very best in 2007! Please consider making this the year where you plan to be kinder to yourself and others than ever before! Please reach out and extend the parameters of your kindness to include supporting jazz to an even greater extent by listening to 91.1 FM and/or your local jazz radio station; attending as many jazz concerts/festivals as possible; and vastly increasing your CD/Vinyl jazz collections!

We hope to meet you through our music!

Happy New Year!

Dan Bodanis

PS. While on The Dan Bodanis Band site, please remember to sign our guestbook!
